Soppy by Philippa Rice

This book was 100% an impulse purchase. I saw it and had to buy it. It is so cute.

From the blurb:

True love isn’t always about the big romantic gestures.

Sometimes it’s about sympathizing with someone whose tea has gone cold or reading together and sharing a quilt. When two people move in together, it soon becomes apparent that the little things mean an awful lot. The throwaway moments in life become meaningful when you spend them in the company of someone you love.

This is a beautiful book about the small moments in a relationship- bickering about who’s turn it is to make a cup of tea, doing the laundry, stealing the duvet, and being generally relationshippy.

So many of the pictures made me think of my relationship with my husband. This is a genuinely adorable book, that made me chuckle and say “awww”.

The pictures are beautifully drawn, cute and stylish. The book is entirely done with a colour scheme of red, black and white, and manages to look quirky but beautiful in every frame.

I absolutely adore this book, and will probably be getting it as presents for most of my friends.
