Hello hello! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

My weekend was relatively chilled; I may have mentioned (a few thousand times) that I have been working away a lot recently, so on Saturday I stayed at home, in my pjs, did a face mask, mani-pedi and played video games with the husband*.

*We played The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead 2 – just in case ianyone wanted to know.

On Sunday we braved the rain, and went for a jaunt to Skipton, where we walked along the canal, had a (extremely calorific) coffee, and perused the shops. I always say I’m going to get a herbal tea, but I always end up getting a soya decaf version of a fancy coffee, and try to kid myself that I’ve been good.

Craig always buys me a book when we go anywhere near a book shop -I’m a bookworm, bookshops are my happy places- and this week he picked up Dark Places by Gillian Flynn (author of Gone GIrl A.K.A. Your Wife is a Psychopath). I have picked up this book a few times, but never committed to buying it. I did really enjoy Gone Girl, despite being completely baffled by the ending, so hopefully this will also be a good read.

I also may or may not have popped into Rackhams and bought myself a few things… Well, 3 things. But they were all the same thing really. Kind of.

I have been lusting after the Dior Rouge 999 lipstick, Rouge Brilliant Gloss and Nail Polish after seeing the advertisements with Natalie Portman – she just looks so fierce, modern and together – who doesn’t want to look like Natalie Portman?

If I was going to buy one, I might as well get the complete set. That was my justification anyhoo.

Also, the Tarte Showstopper palette came back into stock in Sephora, so I had to snap it up.

I have worn my new polish and lipstick/ gloss combo today, so I’m saying it was money well spent.

My makeup laid out ready for the day; Tarte Lights Camera Flashes Mascara, Too Faced Natural Matte Palette, MAC Crazed Imagination Blush, Rimmel Stay Matte Primer, Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation, and Dior Rouge lipstick and Rouge Brilliant Lipgloss in 999. ©tishandfipsy

Non je ne regrette rien!

Did anyone else spend waaaaaay too much at the weekend? I’m hoping it wasn’t just me 😉.

Cheerio!

Stephanie

It is such a good book! Try and get Burial Rites by Hannah Kent as well if you have reading time. X

Ah! That’s so sweet that your husband always gets you a book when y’all are near a book store 🙂 My hubby got me the Too Faced Semi-Sweet palette for Mother’s day!
